We are a family-owned real estate brokerage that has evolved from generations of very successful small businesses and service-centered occupations. We come from farmers and doctors, plumbers and accountants, retailers and bankers, builders and teachers. All with varied purposes, but with one very important common goal…serving the needs of their customers and clients. We want your home buying or selling experience to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible, and we’ll go to great lengths to ensure your experience is a positive one.

    My personal journey started with the many wonderful experiences, lessons and memories of growing up in a small farm town in Illinois. After college, I spent time teaching in Chicago, working for a large financial services company, owning my own retail business, and over the last several decades—investing in and selling real estate.

    I learned the technical lessons of business from growing up in a family hardware business, working for a Fortune 500 financial corporation, owning my own retail businesses, and through years of investing in and selling real estate.

    By far the most important lesson I learned, for life and business, was from my parents. “Throughout your journey, treat everyone, absolutely everyone you encounter, with the same respect, honesty and dignity that you would want in return…period”.

    Growing up in family of small business owners, I developed a heart for serving others very early on. Whether helping customers find products at our family hardware store as a kid, or learning to serve adults with disabilities through my high school job at a local group home—I learned at a young age what it looks like to put others first in a life of service.

    After spending a year working in real estate at 18 years old, my journey eventually took me to college—where I found a passion for kids and decided to enter the world of education. I spent the next 11 years teaching kindergarten and coaching baseball in the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted school district. Using the life experiences that have helped shape me in the 17 years since I first started out in real estate, I am excited to serve and support the members of our community with their real estate needs!
